Rainbow Colored PRIDE

     The first Pride Parade occurred on June 28 1969, long long ago... Though many people consider the first Festival to be a riot, which is still pretty fabulous. The Parade/Riot took place at the Stonewall Inn. If you didn't know, the Stonewall Inn was a gay bar. The Stonewall riots are what created the Pride Parades and Gay Rights Movement. The riot itself took place early in the morning, and the riot followed a Police raid. In 1970, another march was organized by the Chicago Gay Liberation. The march went from Washington Square Park, all the way to the Water Tower, which was at the intersection of Chicago and Michigan avenues.       Some people believe that the first Pride Parade occurred on June 28 in 1970, called the Christopher Street Liberation Day March. This march ended with a "gay-in" in Central Park. Many homosexuals were harassed, beaten, and even killed back then, and much of that violence still continues today. Yet despite all of the hate, we fight on,

     Transgender Youth Denied The Right To Use The Restroom      In many schools most students use the bathroom that was made for there gender. Sadly, this is not the case for some students. Many transgender youth are denied the basic right to use the correct bathroom, studies have shown that 63.4% of transgender youth avoid using restrooms, according to  Genderspectrum.org . This is a problem, students should not have to avoid using the restroom, yet the expanding amount of "Bathroom bills" prevent them from doing so. 60% of transgender youth state that they are required to use the restroom that goes with the gender they were assigned at birth, stated  WilliamInstitute . These "Bathroom bills" are a complete disregard for Trans people and frankly quite Transphobic. What are your thoughts on the matter?
